I've been meaning to post this for ages and now, prompted by Davy H's recent post, here it is. A firm turntable favourite in the Saturday night run up back in the days when Saturday nights were guaranteed to involve stonedness, mellowness and grooviness. Just looking at the sleeve makes me happy.
Stunning album - Homework and 713/714 blues are super funky
ReplyDeleteYep, you can't beat a clavinet. At the time this popped out of nowhere, other stuff we were listening to was generally a lot more uptight. This felt like the musical equivalent of slipping a big pair of flares on.
ReplyDeleteAre you inferring that your Saturday nights are no longer stoned, mellow or groovy? What gives?
ReplyDeleteThings are still reasonably mellow but stoned is an occasional treat and I can't even remember the last outbreak of outright grooviness. Just getting old John.
