A quick change from the round the world antics, you remember a bit back I was going on about tracking down half remembered tracks? Well, the other day I was walking along with a friend and he only started singing one of them. This is it.

Woah, that's brilliant, I thank you kindly.
ReplyDeleteDid you get me ruff roots reggae mix? Here - http://bit.ly/N5EvEc - starts with a (different) song of the same name, as it happens.
Soz. To make that easier - here.
ReplyDeleteThank you Davy, I don't remember your ruff roots reggae mix, was it this summer?
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, Invasion is even better than I remember. Anyone who says politics and music never satisfactorily mix just isn't listening to enough music.
(I did it a few years ago to shove on the blog, then after playing it last week thought I'd put it on Soundcloud).
ReplyDeleteI like your tag - THE TRUTH
Yep, the spirit of Alan Parker is alive and well and living in Twickenham. Once upon a time I took a fairly rosy view of the British Empire (I blame those very readable books by that nice James/Jan Morris). But, a few railways here and there and the odd parliamentary democracy aside, it's hard to escape the fact that it was all maintained by force and for no reason other than our enrichment at the rest of the world's expense.
ReplyDeleteThere was the aqueduct Reg, don't forget the aqueduct
ReplyDeleteBloody marvelous race, the British.
