Here, hair, here
I was up at my parents the weekend before last. Sitting on the sofa in the morning, going through the papers with them I became aware that my mum, sat at my side, was studying my head. "Have you had your hair cut?", she asked. I nodded. "Hmm...it's not as good as usual" was her verdict. I had to smile.

My brother's girlfriend is Scottish. She pronounces here and hair the same. Last time I saw her I kept asking her to say both words back to back. It's the little things.
ReplyDeleteMy wife's sister's room-mate at college was from Northern Ireland and my sister in law used to have her just saying things - "How now brown cow" was a particular favourite.
